This pattern (curved design) was very straight forward & my burp cloths came out great (even tho' I'm not a very experienced sewer). I made some receiving blankets & matching burp clothes for a new mom & was told that these are her favorite burps cloths that she's tried. I made the larger one because it seemed to fit better & I figured even if the baby was early, the larger one provides more protection for mom's or dad's shoulder & clothing. These are now my go-to for burp cloths.
A tip that I picked up from a random YouTube video about Dollar Store finds... Trace the pattern onto a thin flexible cutting board (2pk/$1) & use that to trace the pattern onto the inside of your fabric. Permanent pattern that won't deteriorate like paper will. If you're worried about the tracing medium showing thru' your fabric, make your pattern just a tad bigger & cut your material just inside the line.
