Size Range: Girls 2 to 14

This versatile leotard or swimwear pattern creates a cute and feminine look for the dance studio, gymnasium or even the beach! Sew the leotard with a hip ruffle or short circle skirt and a short or long sleeve. All my leotard patterns and swimsuit patterns have a modest low leg with great coverage in the back. 

My instructions are aimed at beginners with a regular sewing machine and use a simple zig-zag stitch. You will be amazed how much money you will save once you can sew your own leotard patterns!

SIZE RANGE: These leotard patterns are multi-sized and come in sizes 2 to 14 for girls. See the sizing chart in the last thumbnail.


FABRIC SUGGESTIONS: This pattern is designed for stretch fabric with at least 75% stretch in both directions such as dance and swimwear lycra.

Here is a guide to choosing the correct sizes when purchasing your sewing patterns. 

  • Please note that there may be slight differences in individual patterns and not all patterns will include all sizes in each group.

Sews abit small compared to size chart but ither than that great pattern, turns out gorgeous..very happy

All actual leotards measurements are smaller than the body chart as they are designed to be made in stretch fabric used for swimwear and dance. This means you get a tight fit when you wear it. Thanks for sewing my pattern and I'm glad it turned out well.
