Size Range: Girls 2 to 14

Make a simple long sleeve or short sleeve unitard which is perfect for gymnastics or dance. Great for showcasing a dramatic Lycra fabric, this unitard sewing pattern is classically designed for maximum impact in class or competition. 

My instructions are aimed at beginners with a regular sewing machine and use a simple zig-zag stitch. You will be amazed how much money you will save once you can sew your own leotards!

SIZE RANGE: This leotard sewing pattern is multi-sized and comes in sizes 2 to 14 for girls. See the sizing chart in the last thumbnail.


FABRIC SUGGESTIONS: This pattern is designed for stretch fabric with at least 75% stretch in both directions such as dance and swimwear lycra.

Great and easy to make

I made a short sleeved one from jersey, one size bigger for my daughter. It is a bit loose, but she loves it and would be happy to wear it all the time. She uses it for jazz dance lessons.

This is my 2nd leotard pattern from Treasurie and My Childhood Treasures. They are easy to make and look great.

Good for boys too!

This pattern is great for boys and girls. Its easy to make small changes (I made it sleeveless) and since I had never sewn with two way stretch fabric I appreciated the simplicity of fitting the crotch/legs.
