My instructions are aimed at beginners with a regular sewing machine and use a simple zig-zag stitch. You will be amazed how much money you will save once you can sew your own dancewear!

SIZE RANGE: This shrug sewing pattern is multi-sized and comes in sizes 2 to 14 for girls. See the sizing chart in the last thumbnail.

FABRIC SUGGESTIONS: This pattern is designed for stretch fabric with at least 75% stretch in both directions such as dance and swimwear lycra.

Great freebie - very quick sew!

The shrug is just what I needed for my little dancer. It is simple to put together and fits well, though it is a bit snugger than most patterns. I wish there was a large format file so i could use my projector more easily and instructions alongside the pieces instead of in a blog link would be more convenient, but I mean, it’s free! It was a very rewarding quick sew
